Dont blame them for not wanting to eat/use the British Army rat packs, they are always being recalled and having things replaced in them. The last thing that was changed was a little tub of primula easy spread cheese, these apparently had a shelf life of 7 years but this turned out to be more like 12 months after 1 soilder died and something like 28 where in hospital close to death, whilst on exercise in Canada about 2 years ago when they eat cheese that was 5 years old!

Before that they had to recall all beef based main meals when the mad cow issue was happening as they where indeed declared unfit for human consumption, they got replace with beef flavoured pot noodles for a very short while!!

Think the guy who says what goes in rat packs likes beef or owns a cow farm or something!

They dont all contain beef however there is 6 main menus excluding vegaterian and muslim type menus and only 3 of them have beef. The other 3 have chicken and pork in em.

Probably too sensible to have someone go thorugh them and remove the beef meals!
