Ok...they have changed the setup to not allow mail to be sent from other domains...(relay)

Which alot of ISPs have had to do to prevent getting blacklisted etc..

We have this issue...where we have to use the ISPs SMTP server, which were are connected to............... to send mail.
Which is different than the pop setup??

So when he is connected to the internet...via different ISP...can he not use that ISPs SMTP server???

Does Adelphia understand that he is connected to another isp when trying to send.

Here we have a username for pop and a diifferent username for the SMTP...so this maybe the issue.

ok, i saw this guy this morning. seems he searched the net over the weekend and found a couple forums that said 'mail can no longer be sent from adelphia's servers if your not ON their networks...it's a shame their tech support people aren't made aware of these changes. he's satisfied with the answers he's found...so case closed and thank you all for your help!
