I would like to add these aswell. For Windows XP

Open command prompt type:

netsh winsock show catalog

to display tons of useful information. Also, you can reset it by using

netsh winsock reset

if done correctly, you should see a message

'Sucessfully reset the Winsock Catalog'.
You must restart the machine in order to complete the reset.
