That should now read "Every Second".....

The way I read the article was, what started out in the early stages of gaming (cheat codes) has turned into trying to own the platform outright, so that pirated games can be played and modified, is that any different from the original game software programmers slipping in backdoors or other codes?? (GTA for one) or the "easter egg" which is almost a dare to the hackers/crackers to see what can be found, the whole enviroment is geared to what can be taken as opposed to what can be bought.......it doesn't help when the media glorify those that take delight in hacking/Cracking, take Zdnet for example, by giving this group space on this article, they will of course come to believe they have been legitimized by the press/peers? and everyone reading this article comes away thinking well geez, it looks like it is so easy to do this, maybe I can do it as well.

Temptation for those, whose bent is to take without paying, is always going to be hard to resist, if the manufacturers of these consoles would put out a completely hacker/cracker free box, then this discussion would not be taking place...and the consumer would be confident he/she is buying a product that is okay....

I just love this part.

In addition, some groups claimed they could run Linux on the Xbox. Such hacks have yet to surface for the Xbox 360.

Claimed? how many different distros of linux now run on xbox?
I like how they get the dumbest people to write these little fluff bits.

PSP has the same type of program available, but unless you want to use old firmware none of the hacks work.

I'm sure before too long though someone will get something to work.

What ever happened to consoles being consoles. They played games. Thats it!

I'll take a $75.00 "GAME Console" any day over a bloated $400.00 media center/game console/overheating paper weight.
