one thing you could do and it would be simple to make ,is a switch you can put between your cable modem and your computer wouldnt need more than 5 bucks to construct just use a box , switch , and two female cat-5 jacks and very easy for a teenager to use ,this is something im gonna be testing out soon , but this looks like a sound solution so far , if anyone has tried this i would appreaceate feed back
