Sorry Nihil for this once I am going to have to disagree with you. St Pats day is the feast day of saint patrick and it is meant to commemorate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. So originally it was a religious festival. Now it is just an excuse to get drunk and green and be Irish.  Everyone welcome.
