Hi,
I agree with Rapier here, has anyone (who is asking about a magic word) bothered to google it, for that matter did anyone check out the link i posted?
If you had of you would have read this:
The only way to access the Free Keylogger Control Panel is to start any program, for example the Notepad or Calc and type the magic word.
So magic word explained, atleast for that specific program.
However there are still a lot of valid questions throughout this thread that need answering if the guy wants any help:
MLF:
How do you know you have a key logger???
Spekter:
Have you tried a simple anti-malware utility?
Have you looked at any of the other links that people here have mentioned?
Most importantly if you know you have one, what is its name???
I think once YOU answer, (or atleast attempt to answer) those, WE can then help

Why does it so often occur that the original poster seems to disappear from the face of the Earth while the rest of the AO community debates the ins and outs of the question they posed?
I think there have been a lot of good questions asked here, and a lot of fairly good suggestions, given that there isn't enough detail or explanation to give great suggestions. But, without some better explanation and details from the thread originator this just becomes a theoretical debate about how one might detect and disable a keylogger on an unknown system.

tony, you have a good point
as for morgan, isn't it true that keyloggers are only tools and that they could be used for good or evil? In addition, isn't exploration and healty curiosity one of the best ways to learn or solve a problem (as long as you can undo your mistakes, of course)
I don't know, just a thought...

Well...if I found a user downloading and installing these so called "tools"...or any other application for that matter for the purpose of "exploration and healthy curiosity"....with out my explicit permission...I would have there fricken a$$ fired.
My point is...we are all not able to download and install ramdom programs...just because it is posted on a site...for testing purposes...specially on production machines...
To tell someone to install it and see for yourself .....is just.....let me see
Stupid

yes, I see your point, and I agree with you course of action if you found someone experimenting. I will try to be more careful with my recommendations from now on...

Yeah, we all have those, MLF. Sit back a second, close your eyes, take a deep breath, go to that quiet, peaceful place.
Maybe I'll meet you there later ...

As for the questions, I'm not sure where the heck they are coming from. I find it odd that the original poster has not been back, even though clarification has been requested.
Kinda makes you wonder ...

I agree with you rapier, I've become somewhat suspicious myself and I'm a bit reluctant to post any further information on this thread.
