I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I even have this burned out a dvd. However I've never been sit through the entire thing. It is just too painful. However, long live Lumpy!

I saw that when it first came out. I remember hating it as a kid and wondering what kind of drugs Lucas was on.

So being an allegedly evolved human, rather than watch it myself I will try to learn from your mistakes and NOT watch it.
But curiosity is piqued...what is it all about? I have no clue...I don't think I've ever heard of this before. What's the big deal?

As far I am concerned it was a weak attemp for the Hollywood types to cash in on the unexpected success of Star Wars, something to fill in the coffers in between the original and The Empire Strikes Back. I am sure that George Lucas will never forgive himself for letting it happen, let alone having Beatrice Arthur involved in it.
