Just remember the X is Silent. You pronounce it "Static".

Neg: She's not nakie in the video I mentioned, but she is somewhat topless for a nippie slip.

The girl in KMFDM isn't bad either. then again neither is most of Jack Off Jill, or F-Minus. Or the LunaChicks.

I've been a Static X fan forever. Even seen them sign a poster at a club in Denver and saw them in concert 3 times and I didn't know that. Guess you learn something...

Heh, the reason is the singer wanted to name it Static, but the company said no because that name was taken for some anti-static stuff you put in in a dryer, then they said OK, and named it what they have now. The X was silent to keep the original name though.

I can't remember where that's listed.... It was either the first album somewhere, or on a video I have of them.

This is from the Static-x website FAQ:

What was the original name of Static-X?
Static-X was originally called Static, when they were signed there was conflict over their name (as it was already taken) so Wayne proposed the name Wisconsin Death Trip. The band didn't like the name, and then fiddled around with different variations of the word Static. Eventually the band agreed simply on putting an X at the end of Static. Hence the name Static-X.

There was already a band named Static that had been signed for a couple of years.

Lol I've never seen that. I think I may still have that video here somewhere, I'll have to dig it up. Maybe I'll be able to make it an Mpeg so you can see them.

That would be cool. I have some of their old stuff on video, from WDT and Machine, but I'm always up for seeing "new" Static stuff
