Thread: Hacker Wanted

  1. #31
Hey. Back in the days you people started on a far lower level and learned your way upwards. It's not that easy to start from scratch as a "script kiddie" so stop blaiming them, I know how it was. Today computers, Websites and everything ellse is far more secured.

Besides, who cares if ones picture is there? Information should be free and taking a picture and putting it on a website is not stealing code or anything.
He could easily claim that he found it on a Torrent site or a DC hub from some guy named "I hate X" and downloaded it. If he knows how to defend his arse you won't even win a court battle with him.

Instead of trying to be a bitch and asking people here to hack a kids website perhaps you should think about why the website has been created and solve those problems? Honestly you have alot of pages that are critical about people and organisations and I don't even see Google which is such a powerfull corporation bitching about the http://www.google-watch.org/ site.

As I said, there is a reason for this page to be created. Solve it from that end.
If you have time teach me I\'m eager to learn.

The use of the photograph WITHOUT PRIOR PERMISSION is totally illegal. Just buy a newspaper or magazine (all available to the public) and try publishing the photographs or articles therein...........see how long you stay out of court

If you buy a website, all you buy is a name, unless you have a contract with the person who previously owned the content that says otherwise.

OK......... the photograph is not one just taken on the street, which would be allowed............

As soon as you create something it is yours...people believe you must copyright your work to protect it...you don't...as a former graphic illustrator I am fully aware of these regulations...registering your work for copyright is simply providing a formal proveable time-frame for creation...that you can bring to court and verify that you created it on this date...
it gives you an assurity of ownership for a period of time from it's creation...
    but...
you do not have to copyright anything...a simple unopened registered letter to yourself or some other proof of ownership with some kind of timestamp serves just as good as any copyright...
if nihil were to tell me how to create a new piece of hardware...and I was to turn around and make it...copyright it...patent it...and slap a trademark on it...if I wasn't able to prove I came up with the idea ' before ' he posted it ( timestamped ) none of that would mean crap if he sued me.
According to the law copyright is automatic upon creation...as long as you can prove you created it before everyone else.

There are exceptions...such as ideas/products created under employment...etc...that automatically become the property of the company.

Under no circumstances can you violate copyright...nihil is absolutely correct...without permission you have no rights to another's property.

    Eg

Honestly, I considered pulling the trigger on this thread the second I saw the flame-U-lator 6000 fire up but it never came. I have to agree with Neg on this. The folks are attempting to help.

I will reserve my personal feeling on the person and the situation.
