Hey everyone

Getting an error message popup.

If it was an Xp error it would say so. It doesnt say which program or what. Havent seen anything like it before.

Please can anyone advise on this, also if you need more info from me.

No, it is actually a standard Windows information message. It certainly goes back to Windows 2000 and possibly before.

Take a look in the system and application logs to see if there are any clues.

You might try entering the command sfc /scannow

Make sure that you have your XP CD to hand.

The most reliable method is to use system restore and go back to a point before it happend.

The Roxio CD software is a favourite culprit in my experience

The real question is what have you just installed or updated, as this is the probable cause.

I ran sfc /scannow before I made the post. Just wanted to double check what this was.

Doesnt seem to have come up again.

I "think" sfc might have fixed it.
