To reset/restore the gateway, the Symantec Gateway Security OS Restore CD ROM contains a Symantec Gateway Security 5000 Series version 3.0 restore program. The restore program returns the appliance to its original factory condition. You boot the OS Restore CD ROM in a computer connected directly or by a network to the appliance.
You may find this documentation useful as you move forward.
