    There are some free tools here that let you get reports/information from the log files:

    Is it a wireless or a wired connection? and is it password protected? My account is password protected but it is set by the ISP to the account name and you can't change it

    My immediate suspicion would be applications that are automatically looking for updates, or you have missed setting something to a local connection?

    There are loads of pay for products that have a trial period. That should be enough for you to find out what is going on?
