I've used alcohol on my laptops plenty of times, however I have an HP, but that shouldn't make much of a difference. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be something I shouldn't use, but I've never had issues with it. I use it on my LCD screen as well. You may want to use a 1:1 water alcohol ratio if you're using strong alcohol (90%).
