Update
It now looks like Win 8 will go gold in October or early November.
If you have XP/Vista/Win7 you can "upgrade" for $39.99, if you have a licensed copy.
If you have a copy of the W8 "Release Preview" trial version you can convert that to a full item for the same price.
With Win 7 they just gave you a 1 year extension unless you had filed bug reports.
No idea of what you actually get, like in can you burn an .iso to reinstall (nah! you would never have to do that with Windows would you?) or to slipstream the service packs?
