I have the following joke which only so far seems to be hilariously funny to myself and a colleague whom is also a geek like myself !

A bloke walks in to a pet shop and ass for a cheap bird !

The assistant offers him a parrot in the shop for £50 !

The man asks why he is so cheap ?

The parrot starts to talk "pieces of nine, pieces of nine"

The man asks the assistant why he is not saying "pieces of eight,pieces of eight"

To which the assistant replies "it is a parroty (parity) error !!!!!!
