All opinion :)
I have some friends that think ME is better than 2K because it plays games better. I guess it's a matter of what you want to use your computer for ;)

Just installed 2k pro, runs great so far (mind you the 1.2Ghz Athlon and the 256megs ddr ram might help)
Definately seems better than windows me, but what isn't?
Although, I do plan to get a real operating system soon (Red Hat or Debian)

I think win2k is better for work. Hard work.
sample : Adobe Photshop, 3d max, or other big soft.
I worked on winme 7 month, It was necessary to reboot my winme --> win2k not.
for games win2k is not bad. I haven't met any game which
not worked on win2k.
Now I using winXP, OS is good, but for power processors.
I have 2 OS. Linux (Best Linux 2000 R3) and winXP..
In future will install win2k, and will leave winXP for a time.

You might notice a bit of a difference as soon as you plug your first usb device in :)
In future will install win2k, and will leave winXP for a time.
Why would you do that? Are you planning on down-grading you processor?!

Now winXP is not good. because drivers for winXP is not released.
I've got Matrox G400 and I can't get drivers for xp.(matrox released winXP drivers for G450 and G550, not for G400) I know matrox win2k drivers is compatible with winXP, but I need newest XP drivers for fully compatible.
And my Processor Celeron 674 is slow for XP. Games are working slowest than on win2k. One big bug in Xp is ipx . When I use ipx 0(for NFS5) , and try to connect to NFS5 server, server has been halted. don't know why, but it is fact.

You can't even compare the two.
2K is in a diff league. ME is for novice home users who're into games, word processing and email.
Although 2K can still be greatly improved if Microsoft put some of that $60000000000000000000 they have into more stability/compatability and security

No it didn't, the only similarity me has to 2000 is the tcp stack - the main code for me is 9x based.

Windows 2k is a far supierior os than ME, i personaly find that 2k boxes can be locked down with little ease and is the finest windows os comparing it to me is just nuts.
2k is Nt without the hassels

w2k can be tightened down as far as secuirty. it comes in "wide open" mode. XP professes to come in "locked down" mode forcing the user to make it unsecure.
Win 2k is NT with a twist!

There is little doubt that Windows 2000 it better than Windows ME. It's far more stable, and since it's built to run in a network environment, has much better security.

ME was a mistake. Simple as that. :)
WIN2K is very good! Use it at work with no problems at all.
XP is even better in my opion. Smaller kernel, runs faster and more stable. Yea there are some driver issues but give a little bit of time, vendors will have new drivers out very soon.

Smaller kernel? Why does it need 128MB of RAM!?!?!? Maybe I'm confused, what are the minimum system requirements?

I think Win2K is the best operating system out there. Windows ME isn't too bad. I like the compatibility that it has. The only problems that I had was that it easier to crash then any other system that I have used, other than Mac.:D

I think Red Hat 7.0 is better than all of those Micro$oft products! If linux is a cancer, than Windowze is a fat chick! ie- you dont really wanna use it but if there's nothing better around at the time you'll give it a try!
