By James Middleton [06-03-2002]
The most complex and dangerous virus ever written?
Users on the Focus Virus mailing list yesterday raised suspicions that a one year-old virus may now be posing a new and very real threat.
ZombieMist, or Zmist, which was created by Russian virus writer Zombie, one of the underground's prominent virus authors, is described by experts as "one of the most complex binary viruses ever written".

Fascinating. I didn't see any part, on what level destruction it does if any at all. What if it did mass scale destruction?

Nice virus. Inserts itself into running code?? Very nice. Absolutely diabolical.

I also liked the broken link on VnuNet to a geocities website. Nice touch guys.

the link works...sorta...just go to:
http://www.geocities.com/szorp
and click the link that says "Zmist Opportunities"
geoshite doesnt like having files linked to from other sites, so it doesnt let you look at them.

Man, that is scary stuff! Companies making VirusScanners will have to lift their game if more of these types of virus' begin to pop-up.
