The new official distribution of Mozilla 1.0 is soon to be released, and word is that aol wants to package it with their software. Those who use Mozilla know that it is far superior in comparison to IE in terms of compliance to internet standards. For more info see

I'll give it a go. I'm not too interested though, it's a Netscrape product. Unless I see some serious speed improvement I'll stick with Opera and IE. (unfortunately IE)

i've been using 0.9.9. And it is NOT slow like netscape 6.*. They have done a good job with making it faster. But I think I'll stick with Opera as my full time browser for awhile.

I have been using 0.8.x something. Not to bad. I use it for my browser in linux also. I wonder if it will have support for the new text tags that JP set up?

Mozilla is not a stripped version of Netscape - instead, Netscape is a beefed version of Mozilla. So, if you think Netscape is to slow, try a new build of Mozilla. After a simillar period of usage of Opera, where I had Opera crashing on me all the time, I've been working with Mozilla for about half a year now, and I'm more than satisfied. In comparison with MSIE, I love mozilla's flexibility in settings. The only thing I lack in Mozilla is a descent support of plugins - the Java plugin in particular gave me quite the trouble before I got it working properly.

And as far as me not being able to see al the blinking, glowing, ponging and flipping tags JP add recently.... thank god for that :)

I thought netscape 6.0 came from the open source of Mozilla?
