    Question problems with linsniffer.c

    I am having a problem with linsniffer.c. I downloaded the program from antionline and it would not compile, so I added the line "#include <linux/sockios.h>" and now the program will compile. The program will currently run on my linux box but it doesn't seem to be capturing anything, including telnet sessions running on the same hub. I ran a program and it said that my ethernet is capable of promiscuous mode.

    Am I missing something?

    Well, at least you asked this in a newbie section... so, you might just want to go check out some place like TCPDump

    Also check with ifconfig and see if your NIC is actually running in promiscuous mode.
