Greetings All:

Well, after a LOT of time and energy, I am please to announce that we have finished, and have installed, our new "Auto Ban User" feature.

This feature is part of our AntiPoints System, and will serve to help keep our community free from users that are "a pain in the ass".

Once a user gets below a certain AntiPoint Total, they will be greeted with a message on the main site page warning them that if they don't shape up, their account will be removed.

After their AntiPoint Total drops below a critical level, the system will ban their account entirely.

As you know, the AntiPoint System has MANY MANY MANY checks and balances in place. Take a look at the AntiPoint Status of users in this community, and you'll see that it's about where you would expect it to be. The "Auto Ban User" feature has even further check and balances in place, to insure that it can not be abused.

Attached you will find a screen shot of the warning message that users will see once their AntiPoint Status starts falling into the red. Obviously they won't see anything if their status falls below the critical level, because their account will be banned.

We are very proud of this new feature, and hope that it proves to keep this community a place to exchange thoughts and ideas, problem free!

Wohoo, first post

Oh wait, this isn't slash dot....

Ok, had to get that in. Excellent idea JP. I think that this will definately help with a lot of the problems that we have on this board. Couple more scripts like this, and you will be able to retire and let the site run itself ;)

Greetings All:

The "critical point" is not something that's useful to release to the general public, heh. Just think of it all as "magic". Heh.

I think the critical point is when JP decides he has had enough listening to someone whine, and puts the message on their front page ;)

nice.. and i see we now have a top ten lists of folks close to being and have been banned.

i would hope the magic number is less than what Dark[Zeus] was able to achieve in the span
of just a few hours last night .. ( i think he must of been at around -500)

How come System_Overload isn't on the recently banned list when he was banned after that FocMaester and he's on the list?

You know what that means?
That means that the critical point is when the legions of little leprechauns finally catch you and steal your shiny pot of positive antipoints... :D he he he

JP! JP! JP! JP!

To think that I was venting in Addicts Forum when JP was making a solution...

Now I feel petty....
I broke rule #11.... "don't come whining to me, come to me with a solution" ~ old boss

Greenies for the bigger man!

I still have lots to learn...

Just when you thought it necissary to call the children in and lock the doors, the Sun comes out again and the clouds begin to dissipate. :)

Thx, JP! AO rules!

I'm glad it's in... but sometimes it seems like most problem users don't have the patience it takes to get banned... Instead it's a swarm of clueless kiddies who post a few items only... Death by a thousand cuts.

i think my antipts r also affected by those given to me by others, right.but wht if someone has or develops a personal grudge against someone and assigns him a lot of negative antipoints.even then that user will be banned for no fault of his. can he complain to someone??

hmm... Its a nice feature.. but i had positive antipoints and now i have red... just because i flamed a sub7 user :/ I think you should add a line of code that lets us flame script kiddies.:deal:

--Just Kidding...(dont want any more neg. antipoints :-/)
