Microsoft Proprietary???? ;)
and who says that microsoft isnt proprietary? 
Here what it does when I tried to do a windows update using Opera.

Isn't this against the whole court thingy about not allowing Netscape install and so?
It's in plain violation in freedom of choice...
They are forcing you to download and install IE5+ instead of your choice, Opera....

I believe there is a way to control how your browser
identifies itself to queries from a web page.
I was reading about it the other day, but can't
remember where.

I have Opera 6.03 and have my browser identification set as Identify as MSIE 5.0 and it still wont work

You thinks that ones funny. I've posted this before. But, this is what you get from MS when you go to the windows update site with Linux and Galeon browser. Just a big ole' blank with a line in the page. Not even a warning. Heh, heh, heh.
