I currently have a process which scans my various network a couple time a month. At which point I use file diff programs to look for changes between my original baseline, recent scans, etc. We have been working to maintain this data in a searchable on-line format (prefer DB)
Although there have been some discussion on the NMAP forum about adding DB logging functionality to NMAP it seemed to be sometime off.
I am wondering if anyone today parses the XML data in to a db for further analysis or trending. If anyone has did you develop your own DTD or do you modify your parsing routines when changes are found to the XML file structure. I have found a couple of DTDs for NMAP but nothing recent.
I have been thinking about continuing an existing or starting a new DTD documentation and maybe even start work on a DB output logging mechanism but wanted to check what everybody else is doing.
Thoughts? and Thanks...
