New Feature: Now Playing!

Greetings:

Wanna let others know the type of music that you like to listen to, or what kind of mood you're in? Now you can have Winamp 3 update the AntiOnline website LIVE to list what you're listening to. It'll appear in your profile, as well as on the Now Playing page.

Download the AntiOnline Winamp 3 plugin now, and join the "Now Listening To Community".

It's also a great way to see what music other AO members listen to, and maybe learn about a new artist or two!

One More Thing To Keep In Mind: This plug-in stores your username & pass in plain-text on your computer. So, I would suggest against installing it on a shared box.

I think it would be even cooler if i didnt have to download *GULP* Winamp *GULP* I happen to like UltraPlayer, it doesn't gobble up all my system resources that I need for gaming. It is a cool feature though.

Yeah, cool feature. Winamp really kicks llama's ass, now even more. :cool: Winamp 3 unfortunately doesn't kick as hard as 2.81 did/does but anyway.

Just wondering, why is Louie's status "AntiOnline Jr. Member" with 253 posts when even titanmike with his 177 posts is an "AntiOnline Member"?

ZeroOne, the wrong status titles are because of that whole "I bailed JP out" thing from a while back. If someone donated, their status has not changed since then. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

As to why, I have no clue.

how does this thing tell what songs are being played? do you need a sound card for this to work or can this thing detect CDs playing in the CD player? do i need to label all of my songs now on my hard drive?

i suppose i'll figure all this out eventually, but i'm lazy and quick answers are good :)

well if it was quatum we are talking about you would be both a 1 AND a 0 at the same time. At least until someone looked at you, then it you would be a 1 OR a 0... :)

Interesting feature indeed! Now everyone can discover the power that is, Rock Music. I'll probably be playing different types of music and have a mini-radio type thing (streamcast). Thanks for the feature, can't wait to see what else is cooking in the possible features pot.

I bet Amazon (or some other store/site) would be happy to pay you some if you made those artist names as automatic searches to their site! I think no one would mind and it would actually be interesting to find out something about some bands that are new to one.
