PS2 vs. XBox 2

xbox is basically identical to a PC and many good games for xbox will come out and look much better on a good gaming PC than on xbox (splinter cell, hitman2)

on the other hand there are only a few games ported for PC from PS2 and although the graphics aren't that good you cannot play those games anywhere else (grand turisimo, tenchu 3)

and don't forget the linux kit for ps2 (alone worth the purchase of PS2)

There is also a linux shell in the works for the box also. As for my opinion, stick with PCs. They have always been superior in just about every way, except for price.
