Spdif Card !!!!

Hello...
I have this SPDIF Card and I don't know anything about it and everytime I google for it I found that it a Sony/Phillips digital sound card... So what !!! I need ifnormation, how to use it is there any driver, software, advantages, disadvntages, and any little info will b useful..

The advantges are with a sound card you can hear sound, The disadvantages are you lose a slot inside your pc.
