Research on Win XP and Motherboards

I am researching a reoccurring problem with Windows XP and the CPU Locking up.

AMD Athlon XP 1800 + 1.5GHz

Memory

2 X Kingston 512 MB 266 DDR


Number of Process running

If your computer locks up alot and you are running Windows XP leave your information so I can compare this with others information. Thank you.

256 megs
gforce 4 64 meg
34 processes (at the moment, have run well into the 40's and 50's...multitasking)

I have NEVER had XP lock up on me....I would take a look at WHAT processes you are running.

BTW, I tweaked my system with xsetup, to which I attribute much of its stability....you can find it at www.download.com .
