Advertising
So far...after being a few places on the net...I've seen lots of Ads...but what I haven't seen is traditional company Ads...
when do you think we'll be seeing traditional advertisers like Coke, Bud. GM, Ford, Charmin', etc...taking up space on the pages you visit?

Never!
The internet is very specialist, and specialist interest sites only attract adverts from organisations that sell to that market niche.
This is nothing new. If you go to the magazine rack in your local newsagent and get a copy of "Farmers' Weekly", "Contractor's Journal" (construction), "Sea Fisherman" etc you will not see those adverts either.
"Horses for courses" I think?

Most advertisements only concern things that (as nihil stated) would attract people. The specified market would cater to their market in their own ways (by their own advertisements for their markets product/products).
