Password Recovery
The IS person at our facility was terminated. How can we get the password for Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition, or reset that password? She claims, "I can't remember it." Any help/ideas appreciated.

Either:
1. "Persuade" the former IS person to remember.
or
2. Call Symantec.
Those would be far easier than trying to hack it, as you seem to be suggesting.

A bottle of Champaign might help her to remember .... if she couldn't remember .... forget it!
you'd better play elsewhere ....

I'm with you on that morgan.
How did you uninstall without the password? Are you sure it was even password protected? Where did you do the uninstall, the Management Server, the children servers, the clients? are you sure you got it?

Phew....
Thought my oldshiemers was kicking in again
...as I remember having to update the corp edition...7.0 to 7.5
and had symantec tech support walk me throught hacking it out of the registry as it would not update.
and I had to reboot after removing every module.....total 16 reboots with the reinstall...(NT4 server)
What a pain!!!!
