Virus??

Hey All,

I am seeing something strange. Some of our users are using Excel files off of our old windows 2000 server. Every now and than the files they use get renamed to a different filename with no extension. Has anyone experienced this before? Virus?

are you sure there is no extension....???

When you open a MS Office document it creats a tmp file until you save it...is this what you are talking about???

if your files get renamed to something else, then that surely is a virus.

Do these files have any size or are they 0 bytes?

Incidentally, how much freespace is there on the server?
