Project Honeypot has just filed a $1 billion lawsuit against spammers. In a somewhat interesting development they have decided to go after the "harvesters" rather than the spammers themselves.

These are people who troll the web "scraping" or "harvesting" e-mail addresses that are subsequently sold to spammers.

I guess it is a similar concept to the RIAA/MPAA targeting uploaders rather than downloaders?
