    Actually you can reply to rollcall threads since the site software was updated.

    However, it is sort of traditional not to start discussions in there, so this is a good sub-forum to chose.

    Yes, I would say that this site is the right place for you.

    Just take a little while to browse around. There are a number of threads dealing with penetration testing, network security issues and career paths/progression, which seem to be what you are interested in?
