i like the attachment, see virus and vis versa. seems to be the way the internet is these days, it's near impossible to get online and download an honest attachment without geting bomb with some stupid shit. I mean why should you have to pay for protection against viruses, I remember when VSAFE on windows 3.1 was just enough to keep ya clean and running fine. I mean if your gonna be online your GONNA need virus protection, and chances are unless you get free internet access like me, your paying good money for internet access that gets screwed by viruses almost daily.

I never ever ever ever run virusscans. They just chew up too much precious memory. I'll probably regret it one day, but there you are. If you just stick to downloading shit from legitimate sites and use your common sence about files you shouldn't have a problem (I haven't had a problem in 5 odd years without a scanner)...

You don't know that yuo don't have a problem. The only way to know you have a problem is to have a virus scanner. Though I shouldn't speak, because I don't have a virus scanner either.
Oh well live life on the edge :)

I went for about 6 months without a virus scanner, and I was fine.
Now I use AVG. It seems to be a good scanner, and best of all, its free! :D
you can download it at www.grisoft.com

RNA-- I think you jinxed yourself a while ago by bragging that you haven't had a problem in five years or whatever... I just hope that you can stay that way. I would, however, recommend getting at least a some-what decent scanner. Best of luck to you in your endeavour to magically avoid virii! (wow... VIRII! contains a lot of vertical lines....)
Good Nite!

hey with a virus scanner on and a firewall up i was still infected by a virus from a legatmate site that deals with safety programs so dont be surprised when your systems crash and burn take care with scans and trust no site without scanning downloads first before opening
