When I first got Windows 3.1 way back when...and I didn't know much about comps, and _nothing_ about windows...
I went through and deleted every file that didn't seem to be obviously doing something. "For more Room"
This included anything that wasn't hidden or read only...which, as it turns out, includes several important files.
