Well, I've recently had some bad luck with the latest version (which might just be an interaction with my proxy software), but the older version I used before that was pretty good. I think the idea is that it takes a lot more configuration than, say, ZoneAlarm. It's the trade off between flexibility dumbed-down-ness. Tiny can be given all sorts of rulesets regarding local/remote end-points, protocol type, local program, MD5 checksums, trusted hosts list, only valid during a certain time interval...Originally posted by Stronzo

It requires a lot more knowledge of TCP/IP to use than just a local-application-based firewall, which was what ZA seemed to be. (Las time I used it... a long time ago, actually. I feel old. Heh.)
