RCGreen, I don't think the point of the conversation had much to do with how the government should own everything. He was just citing the internet, which was owned by the government(which is supposed to be the public) is being privatized so that business' who didn't do anything to help develop it can screw-over the people who did.

Unfortunately much of our country is controlled by corporations. It is currently extremely difficult to get information out to a majority of people. Even more difficult to get people to step outside of their regularity of being complacent and act on something. But if these corporations like M$ and AOL, etc. control ALL the media we have absolutely no way to communicate, and it only takes us closer and closer to an orwellian government controlled by the corporations. Controlling the citizens, and payed for by the same citizens it's brainwashing.
