My longest was 48 hours, I run win95 and all the win9x systems slow down like crazy and you have to reboot them. So when I was trying to access hotmail with my cable connection, it took about 2 and a half minutes to load internet explorer, and then another 1 and a half to get to hotmail.com After that I just rebooted.

The only reason mine goes down is because I manually power it off :P But right now my desktop's been on for about... 26 hours. I'll probably shut it down later today, and then it will be around 38 hours. Windows 98. Strange, just as I was about to submit the reply it slowed a bit... oh dear.

I left my red hat linux on for 3 months, because I run a server. But it was a big step for me since I used to run win98 which I rebooted at least 2 times a day to prevent from getting laggy. My friend left his ME on for 2 months, he has an 833mhz and it was slower than my 133mhz, amazing, huh?

My workstation with the longest uptime right now is 69 days and 30 min on one of my linux boxes. My fastest workstation gets rebooted about once a day because I have to boot into windows to play Warcraft 3, but then I reboot back into linux for the rest of my activities.

My W2K workstation at work was up as much as the length of time between security patches and service pack or software installs, but in general a minimum 500 hours a month. Yes was on 24/7.

Just wondering, what's the longest you've ever had your pc on for without a restart or a shutdown?
I think mine must have been about 36 hours, that's not very long compared to what you guys have I suppose?
Didn't we just go through this a couple weeks ago? LOL
3:26pm up 308 day(s), 3:28, 15 users, load average: 0.13, 0.16, 0.18
Current uptime... then again, it's not Windows (obviously).

I've had XP running for a little over 7 weeks at its longest stretch....had to shut down for an electrical storm or it would have lasted longer.
