what is the matter with all of you? .All of this arguing and finger pointing sounds like a bunch of children fighting over a lollipop. Why not start with a clean slate forgive each other and leave all this paranoia on some psychiatrists couch. I came here to this site to learn and have found it to be for the most part not only a learning site but an interesting place to be. I am older than most of you and I should be the one to whine and complain all the time.Why kick each other in the face so much ? Is it something in the air or drinking water.? Imagine how this sounds to new people. I am sure I have made a bunch of enemies by saying this but it sounds so damn petty to someone who is fairly new here like me. Jeez, become more laid back, life is so short for all of us. We are all like flowers who bloom and drift away quickly. I expect to be banned for all of my opinion's I have stated but become a community not a battleground. Auntie

To the person who did not care for my post, I do not know what this is all about I simply stated what it looked like to an outsider(me). Wouldn't it have been a better idea to thrash this out(whatever it is) in a conference room. At least you had the guts to sign your name Auntie

Ao is getting to be a sad place to be... you have newbies who don't take the time to read the FAQ and end up posting the "How do I hack hotmail" threads who get neg'd and rightly so... Other members who think that the only opinion that matters is theirs and they blast anyone who does not think like them or toe their particular line... Folks that are here to learn who don't post a lot of Tech related stuff because they are afraid to ask a question they may have for fear of getting neg'd... Then you have folks that have been on AO and been banned because they screwed up one way or another... I'm for giving anyone a second chance as long as they prove they are worthy of that chance... And it is up to them to prove they have changed by doing the right thing 100% of the time and understanding that it is going to take time for people to trust them again... There are people on AO that have been banned multiple times and they keep comming back just to screw with the people they think "did them wrong"... I have no doubt that aliances exist on AO... That being said who gives a crap about how many little green dots they have??? Big fat whoop... So you have abunch of them and I don't... IMO if you are here to get little green dots and make the top ten then you are here for the wrong reasons... AO is supposed ot be a place where people can come to get help with their question about computers in general and network security in particular... A place where people can "talk" about what is on their mind and get feed back from others within the AO community... Nothing kills the free exchange of information and ideas faster then the fear of reprisal for expressing your opinion... Quite a few people on AO, I have seen, will say what ever they think people want to hear in a post and then PM with an entirely different opinion because they don't want someone to know they disagreed with a particular post... IMO this is not only cowardly but hipocritical... Sometime I think if I see or hear about one more AP assignement that has as a reason **** off ******* or go **** yourself I will scream... You don't like what is said in a post then give a reason why you don't like it... You want to cuss someone out then stand up and PM them to do it... there are times when it is like a damn grade school around here... I came here to learn, help when and where I can, and OPENLY discuss various information and ideas... As a suggestion I think a lot of this AP nonsense could be eliminated if your name was attached to each AP you gave... You take away the ability to hide in the shadows and you can eliminate any AP alliance before it gets started... As well as getting rid of threads like this one...

The reason I posted that here, and not in a conference room is that there are people involved in it that no one knew who they were. It's pretty hard to invite people into a private conference room when you don't know what nick they are using now. I wanted to lay it all out on the table. maybe i shouldnt comment, but the only solution seems in forgiving the person who did this because if we begin politics here in AO, and especially with no one knowing where the AP's are coming from, it's going to be hell. Whoever did it, must see for himself/herself how much unrest it has caused in between the senior members, well it obviously reflects the websites status, so i guess, should we close the thread ?

THanks to the few that decided to fill me in on what AP Alliances are, I undestand what this is all about now, or at least somewhat. Being negged ever since I joined was not cool, and it was the same types of messages over and over. Then I get the "death to alliance" and "your banned" negs and I'm like WTF! I tried to ask a moderator who inquired about JRoc and alliances between me and others, but ended up negged more(that moderator will remain nameless). I think this is all a load of BS and those involved in trying to get me banned need to grow up. If you feel the need to neg me based on my opinion, so be it. Leave your name and a reason tho.

i guess it's logical to assume that people will eventually exploit something or other to make themselves look better, or others look worse.

personally, i think any little alliances like this are kinda stupid, but whatever. either way, i think Jehnny has some sort of grudge against me. he negged me with a comment of something along the lines of "Hahahahah - jehnny". but it's not like it's that big a deal. i come here to help people where i can, not to make lifelong friends. making friends is just a bonus, i guess.
