best of luck trying to get your current handle changed, although if you simply re-registered, it would be all sorted now.

could not resist.
Hmm...theres something a little peculiar here. Oh i see what it is! the sentence is talking about itself! do you see that? what do you mean? sentences can\'t talk! No, but they REFER to things, and this one refers directly-unambigeously-unmistakably-to the very sentence which it is!

tyger_claw,
creating a new avatar might be a good suggestion... and re-registering could have its advantages but there are large obvious disadvantages...
but i will still contact jupman and get the verdict... but im not gonna change it now. just wait and see what they say, then i will give you feedback.. and we could have a vote??

Let me know,
Maybe they'll implement a new feature where you can submit a "change of name" with a field for reason so the sysops can review the reason and decide to accept or decline the reason?

yea, but something like that tyger_claw, people could be changin all the time and no-one would know who's who.
maybe it would be only to be done once or something similar...

The fact is if they let someone change their name with no good reason, then everyone would do it. Thats the main reason to not let anyone change their name. Smurfing would be very annoying to everyone on the list.
Personally, accept the loss of the greenys and post numbers, to reiterate what dublix said.

I remind a lot of high members who tried to restart from the begining. Even if they had not always restarted for good reasons, only some of them succeeded.
To lose everything is very hard to endure. To lose everything for a nickname would be, in my opinion, a bad decision. On AO, what is important is more what you say and what you have said than what is your name or how is your avatar (except for some excellent ones ). So, maybe should you consider the possibility to be known under more than one nickname on Internet. It will not influence who you are.
