It seems to me that this thread has strayed off topic severely, but I would like to respond to the allegations that my country is a terrorist state.
Such allegations are totally ubsurd, in my opinion. I think it is a large strech to say that since no weapons of mass destruction have yet been found in Iraq, the United States is therefore a terrorist state. I still hold my opinion, very strongly, that these weapons will be found in the end, and the war will be "justified," if that is what your definition of justification requires. I feel that because the Iraqi people are glad that we are there, is justification enough, but I realize this is not the primary reason that the US went to war in the first place.
There is no debate, however, that Iraq certainly did have weapons of mass destruction during the late 80's and early 90's. They used these chemical weapons on a Kurdish town out of anger. I can see no real reason why Saddam would have destroyed these weapons, in secret, and then play a cat and mouse game with the United Nations weapons inspectors.
I would also like to say that I feel quite privaleged to share a border with the nation of Canada. I feel that the United States would be much more like Canada, if we did not have to play police officer so much in the world stage. I guess what I am saying basically, is that I have an uncanny belief in my government, and will always do so, but I certainly do respect everyone else's opinions on the matter. Thank you for your time.
