Seen something pretty scary...
Well a couple days ago while in the casino. I was browsing the multimedia games since the blackjack tables were full. and i something sinsiter caught my eye. One of the games actually had the all too familiar windows safemode prompt. I laughed to myself and grimaced at the thought that you just cant escape ol' billy's evil empire.

A lot of that software is run on Windows. Our company was going to do an audit of computers and software licenses at a local casino and we found out all of their stuff was running on Win98 and 2000.

Well here in South Africa nearly nobody knows anything else than DoZe.
1)EVERYONE under the age of 17 in RSA knows only of DoZe.
2)About 5% of the rest of the population(excluding IT/IS-profesions) knows that there is something like Linux/Unix but hasn't got a clue what it is nor what the diffrence is.
3)About 0,3% uses *nix(except IT/IS-profesions).
4)I cant think of even ONE that officially uses nix.
Luckily, i have seen that some of our technollogy magz have 'discovered' Linux, but are still
WAY WAY WAY off the mark, all that they can focus their small minds on, infact the PENGUIN,
and even the work that they handed out to the public was NOT their OWN,they jus went to some official linux site, copied and pasted everything he wanted, and wham, the public thinks hey this guy knows alot, he can even tell you why HE thinks a peguin was chosen for the mascot, pathetic.
Surely,we all have been to numurious sites that uses the precise exact describtion, but none of them claims to be the rightious own/writer of it.
Still good to see them catching on,slowly.
Beware, you who seek first and final principles, for you are
trampling the garden of an angry God and he awaits you just beyond the last theorem.

Hello all
This statement is scary initself... It is hard for me to imagine an entire country like this ... it must be incredibly difficult to get anything accomplished, Medically, Politically, logistically Etc.
When I did the first beta testing for the first version of windows, No Not The MAC OS , I immagined that in 5 or ten years the entire world would be "based" on this OS, Now I am sadly aware of the fact that they are not.. It is really too bad. No I am not Endorsing MS..
Just my 2cents

Did curiousity really kill the cat, or is that just what they want you to think?
