Bluejacking has been around a while and is a misnomer since no 'jacking' actually occurs - just a tag to make it sound a little bit 'underground' and 'sexy'. I've given up on Bluetooth and actually use IR if I need to transfer a business card, a number, etc to another mobile because the 10 metre range is if you use Utopian, Ideal World conditions - in reality, I have spent fruitless minutes trying to connect with a friend's mobile despite the fact that we were right next to each other!

Also, whilst it may be 'fun' to send random messages to people, why not just switch off Bluetooth, have a beer or two and walk over to random_person_1 and TELL them that you like their top. Who knows? You may get a smile, conversation and even hook up with them. Much better than spending half the night trying to send an ever so witty text to them, looking like a Billy No Mates playing with your mobile whilst your friends are socialising and surveying the scene :)
