ohmmeter check for 5V & 12 V
that would rate... you normaly use a Volt meter to check the voltages.. and an ohmmeter to merasure the resistance of something..

This is probaly not the problem but have you check your ram some times it comes out in a laptop
when were we told it was a laptop?
