Hmm... seems everyone learned something today (or affirmed previous knowledge):

cl@ude, no one's going to teach you a dang thing straight out. This isn't some mentoring hotspot. If you have a specific question on a certain exploit or idea, it's best you ask that than say "I know this is touchy, but how do I hack?" (Note: Not a direct quote, I know... but it looks better that way ). I also would like to point that there isn't a "smartest" person on AO... they all pretty much have their areas of expertise, and as a whole make up one large, excellent resource.

gore: Ye Olde Ways Hacking Rule. And I remember when people got banned in a heartbeat for this type of question, just like you.

xierox: I suppose you represent the "give'em the benefit of the doubt" group on this thread. I both admire and pity your type, as you give for a noble cause, but usually in vain.

XTC46: Sarcastic, yet oddly helpful.

crashburn181: Take Galdron's advice. Paragraphs, man... paragraphs. Also, the Happy Hacker series by Carolyn P Meinel, while a good read, is a bit dated, in my opinion.

Aspman: Knoppix is truly amazing.

unhappy: I'm confused at what my mothers "tity" has to do with hacking... but I'm sure I'll catch on eventually.... maybe?

That's my quarter's worth...

Cheers,
M
