In regards to the new topic: Give Katja some slack, will ya? People who have been in the IT field for 20+ years have acquired experience and wisdom; but unless they have the hacker mentality, they're old and rotten and useless. The new generation is never to be ignored.
Someone 19 and up yet is still on this hacker this and that trip... now thats sad.
By the way, please, use the word 'cracker' when referring to the authors of malicious acts. A hacker is nothing to be afraid of; although one who refers to oneself as a hacker is most likely a cracker (I will claim to have the hacker mentality, but not to be one). An expert is someone whose voice is respected in a particular community/field. It's true that it's somewhat standoffish or arrogant to claim to be an expert, but sometimes that's just how it is.
I can do some fairly mundane computer related tasks too yet you'll never see me tossing buzzwords like that around. If you have a real interest in computers then umm... shut the **** up?
Katja, why do you feel the need to separate yourself from people you clearly think are below you... because of the ability to press buttons on a computer? You sit here and basicly insult your own family because of it too when the funny thing about it is... most people here including myself agree that your not very bright at all actually. If there is something that separates you and these so called "end-users" you keep talking about... then clearly the line is alot more slim than you may be willing to admit.
