I remember reading something from Cathar...either he tried a few of his designs in silver, or was starting to mass-produce these things or something of that nature. I'll have to browse through ProCooling again...it's been a while.
Yeah, Duallie Woodie was fun. But in this environment I need a much better air-flow/intake so I can filter out some of the crap in the air. Cleaning dust out of the HSF is not fun...especially when you have two heatsinks to pull the dust out of. It hurts big time...I still run this thing without a side panel so it sucks the dust up like crazy
I was looking for the Bonnville. Couldn't remember if it was the '77 or the '74 that was the ticket. Whichever one is cheaper, I guess. And yeah, I meant reservoir. I just did a paper on a reservoir, and somehow aquafier came to mind when I was grasping for descriptive words.
Thermalright is good stuff. Don't get taken in by Thermaltake. Or at least don't expect much, haha. But the thermalrights were good. I can't afford to shell out that much cash on the HSF though. Which is why I have the Vantec Aeroflow HSF. Small design, robust & good, but it doesn't have the surface area of stuff designed for 120mm fans.
And good luck waiting on the sidelines with the Celeron D. It's definately smart to sell while you can still get high prices for your gear than sit on it while it depreciates. That's why I did my best to invest little in my computer ($650 got me much more than other people spending $1,500+ on prebuilt).
Unfortunately photography is another story. I have some $3,000 landed in camera/printer equipment right now. At least it is very slowly paying for itself...maybe by the time I graduate it will have paid for half of what I have now
