I think the AFA is seeing ghosts...
Just take a look at their "research" (http://www.afa.net/christmasban.asp). There is no ban against the use of the word "Christmas" - there simply is a preference to use "holidays".
Maybe next year we'll see a campaign that demands that Walmart uses the word "daffodil" in its advertizing... if not, I'll have to start a petition for the support of daffodils worldwide who are being neglected by big evil corporations...
That's because they ARE HOLIDAY shipping dates, silly! If you need it by the 25th (Christmas), they offer HOLIDAY shipping dates (hence the plural: those dates are not-christmas dates)... jeez...
That's because they're an OFFICE SUPPLY store, not a reindeer breeder...
*whisper* Office supplies */whisper*
They happen to sell 3 christmas items - that could explain the search result...
Good. Christmas shouldn't be for sale anyway
You can't honestly think these people (myself included) cannot discern the difference between the normal use of "holiday" to include Christmas and New Years, and the blatent omition of the word Christmas in cases where in the past, before this country became pussy-whooped, nearly every store would have proudly displayed the word.
