I have actually "used" one of the bad programs listed on Chizra's site he linked. It was SpyAxe. I don't know how my mom's computer got it on there, either they downloaded it thinking it was legit, or my step dad somehow got it on there from his late night pr0n escapades. Anyways, I got on her computer one day and this popped up right at the start. My first reaction was,"ZOMG! My mom is finally trying to help the computer out! A spyware remove tool that autoscans on startup!" Well, I let it run its course, which, by the way takes a total of like 5 secs. I see this and I think,"Ad-aware takes usually at least a minute on my very fast computer....Wierd." Then, it prompted me to delete its selection. WELL WELL WELL....I look through the list, and I see things within the list that are in the registry. I look closer, and they are very necessary keys. So, experience with SpyAxe, I learned that not all things out there play nice. Glad you found that site Chizra. Hopefully it will help save some people some trouble.

Edit: After posting, and thinking back to that situation, I'm not really sure if it was SpyAxe or some other "Spy<insert blah word here>". Either way, it still applies...
