Well, I still prefer to use IE for MS and some other applications' updates.
I would have thought that anyone who wanted to use anything else would be quite capable of downloading and installing it themselves?
MS's IE is the default browser for use with MS's operating systems. That is hardly surprising, and many people are quite happy with the default. It's almost like "inertial marketing"?
Basically MS have a de facto monopoly of PC operating systems so it is bound to spill over into other products.
Competition isn't about whining to politicians, it is about producing a superior product and selling it to the market
