A few times Nvidia will bundle the wrong drivers in there latest forceware updates, especially with there older cards. There release log on the update will say it has support for a certain card but they actually forgot to put the driver in there. I've had to either roll back to a previous version or edit the update and add the driver.
I've had problems with windows version of a driver, oem versions, and manufacturer versions. You kind of have to wing it. Usually the manufacturer version works the best though.
